Three things to prepare before an operations conversation

Before a first conversation about hospital or clinic operations, briefly consider these three questions.

01. Where does the difficulty occur?

Describe a recurring situation or workflow. Focus on what happens in daily work rather than evaluating individuals.

02. What would you like to discuss first?

Choose one priority. If you have several concerns, separate those that feel urgent from those that need a longer discussion.

03. What practical conditions matter?

Think about the people involved, timing and the scope you have in mind. The available scope of support will be discussed during consultation.

Patient names and clinical records are not needed for an initial enquiry. A brief overview of your organisation and your purpose is enough.
